Harford County was the nation's most tardy school district to remove segregated schools, not being fully integrated until the 1965-66 school
year even though the Supreme Court had ruled on
BROWN V. THE BOARD OF EDUCATION in 1954.
For each of 12 school years, one additional grade was integrated.
